  • Cook broccoli according to package directions. If in a hurry, just thaw it. Takes a little longer cooking time, but keeps the broccoli from getting mushy. If cooking the broccoli, undercook it so it stays firmer.
  • Chop onion and celery in 1/2-inch pieces, not too small. Chop water chestnuts into desired sized pieces. Sauté onion and celery in a bit of butter, add salt and pepper, combine all ingredients.
  • Bake at 350, until bubbly. Top with a bit of paprika and shredded cheddar, bake again until melted. I usually start out with a foil tent to keep the top from browning too much while baking. Enjoy!


Hint. If not cooking broccoli, also leave onion and celery a little crisper than if cooking broccoli. Cooking time is a little longer.
