  • 1) Cut broccoli head into bite size pieces and set aside.
  • 2) Finely chop onion (food processor works best).
  • 4) Fry bacon until dry and crisp (not burnt), chop into small pieces.
  • 3) Combine all ingredients, except broccoli, in a medium size bowl.
  • 4) Add broccoli and mix until well coated.
  • 5) Let sit for a 1 hour in the fridge.
  • 6) Serve cold.


I have used fat-free mayo, splenda instead of sugar and fat-free 'better than bacon' as a substitute and it tastes just as great! Also the longer you let it sit, the more the flavors have a chance to blend and the onions taste less pungent.
