  • 1. Fill a large pot with water and put to boil. Add gnocchi and boil until they rise to the top (approx 7-10 minutes).
  • 2. Meanwhile, in a medium saucepan, whisk flour to remove any lumps.
  • 3. Gradually add 1 cup milk, whisking until smooth.
  • 4. Add remaining milk and the nutmeg.
  • 5. Whisk over medium heat until thickened and comes to a boil, about 4 minutes.
  • 5. Remove from heat and stir in parmesan cheese and 1 Tbsp. butter.
  • 6. In a large skillet, heat 2 Tbsp. butter until brown. Add mushrooms and gnocchi.
  • 7. Heat gnocchi until lightly golden brown.
  • 8. Add sauce.

Notes

This is a very hearty meal. Add some of your favorite vegetables to make it even better! Leftovers can be baked in a baking dish with a sprinkling of parmesan cheese on top!
