  • Grease a deep casserole dish. Open crescent rolls and separate. Melt butter or margarine in small saucepan. Add brown sugar and heat until sugar is melted.
  • Peel and core apples, cutting each apple into quarters. Press one of the crescent rolls around one quarter of the apple and seal. Place apples in casserole; pour melted mixture of brown sugar and butter over top of apples, coating each apple quarter. Add nutmeg, cinnamon and chopped pecans.
  • Bake at 350 degrees in covered casserole dish for 20 minutes. Uncover, and continue baking another 20 minutes, until rolls are lightly browned. Remove from oven. Then after about 10 minutes, serve with either vanilla ice cream or Cool Whip.
