One evening the steaks on the grill was cooking faster than the potatoes, so instead of pulling the potatoes out and nuking them, I sliced in half and did the above, found the potatoes to be far better tasting than the old fashioned way. It tastes like a baked fried potato. I use a non trans fatty acid buttery spread that can be used for cooking with greek seasoning on mine. I like the Iron skillet over the cookie sheet. For some reason it browns more even and seems to cook faster. I' ve cooked up to 6 potatoes and had the same time as with 2 potatoes. Larger potatoes only took an extra 10 minutes more or less.
