  • Slice squash in half long ways. Remove seeds and throw away. Place squash halves face down in a flat bowl so that the squash fits flat. Cover with wax paper to prevent splatter.
  • Place in microwave and cook on high from 12 - 16 minutes (depending on the amount and size of squash). You will be able to tell that the squash is ready by poking a sharp knife or fork into the back of the squash. If it is very soft, it is ready. In a serving bowl, add butter and maple syrup.
  • Take container of squash out of microwave and flip squash over in container with a utensil. Dig out the meat of the squash and place in the serving bowl with butter and syrup. Mix well and serve.
