  • 1. Heat oven to 350ºF. Mix butter, sugars, vanilla and eggs in large bowl using spoon. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt. Stir in chocolate chips.
  • 2. Drop dough by rounded measuring tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  • 3. Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until light brown. Cool slightly. Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack; cool.
  • High Altitude (3500-6500 ft)
  • Bake 13 to 16 minutes.

    This is one of the best chocolate chip cookie recipes I have ever made! Its very easy to change up and add different things. I have added walnuts, pecans, dried cranberries, white chocolate or peanut butter instead of the semi-sweet chips. These are a hit no matter where I bring them.

    I made these cookies tonight for my dinner tomorrow and they were a hit!!! i had to send my boyfriend to the store and get more ingredients, we ate the whole batch!!! i added crushed pecan to half of the dough and they were a great combo with the chips!! thanks for sharing such a great recipe with us!!
