  • Have cream cheese softened to room temperature and add that to your container of Cool Whip in a mixing bowl. Mix with mixer until smooth as possible.
  • Next take candy bars (sometimes putting them in freezer for a few minutes ahead of time they are easier to work with.) I put them in a Ziploc bag and use my roller to break them up first and then just use my roller until they are pretty well ground up.
  • Add the candy to the bowl and mix (leave a little bit left over to top the pie with). After it's mixed, it's pretty thick so spoon it carefully into crust and just smooth it out evenly, sprinkle leftover candy on top. Let set in fridge for about 15 minutes then serve.

Notes

I found that Snickers crunchers and that type of candy bar doesn't work well in this pie. I personally don't like Butterfinger candy bars to eat, but I put them in my pie and I love them in this pie.

This was delicious. Before serving, I lightly drizzled chocolate syrup onto the cake and then grated some extra butterfinger on top for appearance.
