  • 1) Preheat oven to 325°F. Generously grease and flour a 12 cup fluted tube cake pan. Make cake mix as directed on the box. Pour about 2 cups of batter into the pan. Into a small bowl, pour 3/4 cup batter; stir in food coloring and extract. Carefully pour pink batter over white batter in pan. Carefully pour remaining white batter over pink batter.
  • 2) Bake 38-42 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes. Remove from pan, cool completely about 1 hour.
  • 3) In small bowl, mix powdered sugar, milk and vanilla. Stir in additional milk, 1 tsp. at a time until smooth and consistency of thick syrup. Spread glaze over cake, allowing some drizzle down the side. Decorate with crushed candy canes. Store loosely covered at room temp.
