  • Once cream cheese is soft enough to blend, mix all ingredients (except pecans) into a mixing bowl. Use garlic salt to taste (pinch or sprinkle). When all ingredients are blended smoothly, cover and place bowl in the refrigerator.
  • After chilling, take a handful of mixture and form into round shape. You then roll in the chopped pecans to cover the outside of the ball. You may place the maraschino cherry on top.
  • Wrap ball in wax paper and then foil. The recipe makes about 3 medium balls or two large balls. I used a 1 1/2 cup bag of chopped pecans and it was sufficient to do three medium balls.

Special Equipment Needed


This is a recipe that my grandmother used and passed on. Roka Blue is not the easiest to find, but Safeways generally carry it.
