  • Wash mushrooms and cut off black substance from underneath mushroom cap. Place mushrooms in pan with butter or margarine and fry on med-hi until they start to get a little darker and shrink slightly.
  • Sprinkle cheese all over prepared mushrooms, and then add green onions.
  • Put under broiler for approx. 3-6 minutes; depends on oven. That's it!


I made up this recipe when I was getting bored with just plain mushrooms. They are such a wonderful vegetable, and really versatile if you put your mind to it! Of course, as with any recipe, tweak it as you wish. If you even remotely like mushrooms, I really think you'll like this one. It's also a great substitute for meat dishes.
