  • Cook chicken until done, cool, tear into pieces and put in large mixing bowl. Add sour cream, soups, and poppy seed. Mix well, and pour into 13x9 baking dish sprayed with cooking spray.
  • Melt margarine in saucepan. Add crushed crackers, almonds, and poppy seed. Mix well.
  • Spread topping on chicken mixture.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F for 30-45 minutes or until bubbly.


Chicken can be cooked in the manner preferred by the cook. I bake it. This recipe can be made ahead of time. Just cover and refrigerate overnight. It can also be made with fat free ingredients to cut calories.

    We also added 1 teaspoon of Tony Chachere's to the recipe to give it a more zesty flavor. Next time we want to try using crushed pecans instead of almonds.
