  • Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper and place chicken breasts in crock-pot.
  • Pour chicken broth over chicken breasts. Put one slice of Swiss cheese on each breast. Combine both cans of soup and milk. Cover chicken breasts with soup mixture. Sprinkle stuffing mix over all. Drizzle melted butter on top.
  • Cook on low for 6-8 hours.

Melt butter, other than that, couldn't be any easier! You can also mix the chicken broth with the soup and you get almost the same results. If you pour the broth over the chicken it keeps the chicken moist and tender. I only used 1/2 the amount of butter called for, and would use more with another cup of stuffing mix next time.

Overall, I thought it was a goodtarting place, but I followed the recipe exactly and I thought it was so salty I almost couldn't eat it. I also kinda thought using both cans of soup was a little unncessary and the swiss cheese just got lost among all the sauce from the broth and soup. I think next time, I will use only one can of soup, no cheese and maybe a llittle more broth. I served mine over mashed potatoes and liked the way that turned out.

We loved this recipe - even my husband who is VERY picky ate 3 helpings! The stuffing turned out great - I was afraid it would be mushy but it wasn't. I might add more stuffing next time. Overall, this is an excellent dish, VERY easy to make, and tastes DELICIOUS!!!

Very savory. This is similar to an oven recipe I have too using shredded chicken. I used a stove top stuffing and it worked fine. I don't think I'd use the cheese again just because you couldn't taste it. There weren't any leftovers!
