  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Boil, grill, bake or fry chicken, let cool then shred into bite sized pieces.
  • Using a 9x13 glass casserole dish, spread chicken evenly along bottom of ungreased dish. Add soup & water (use water to get a nice consistency) and mix with chicken well. Add salt & pepper to taste. Layer Swiss slices evenly on top of chicken mixture. Sprinkle bread crumbs on top of cheese. Cut butter into single tablespoons and place evenly on top of bread crumbs.
  • Place casserole in oven and bake for about 30-35 minutes or until bubbly. Remove from oven. Let cool 5 minutes. Serve.

Special Equipment Needed


You may substitute the chicken with turkey, this is a great idea if you have leftovers from Thanksgiving or Christmas. You do not have to use just breast meat, dark is great too, it is up to your own taste buds. You may also reduce the amount of butter used, as it is only used to add extra flavor to the bread crumbs. I like to use larger sized bread crumbs, they give the casserole a good crunch.
