  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter a cookie sheet.
  • In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar and baking powder. With a pastry blender or fork, cut in the butter until mixture resembles coarse meal.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the eggs, juice, vanilla and orange peel. Stir the egg mixture and chocolate chips into the flour mixture with a fork.
  • Take a medium size ice cream scoop and place scones fairly close together on the cookie sheet. Bake 15-18 minutes or until golden brown or a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Allow to cool 5 minutes before removing with a spatula.
  • If desired, you can melt a 1/4 cup of chocolate chips and drizzle over scones.


You may have to adjust the temperature according to your oven. Enjoy!
