  • 1. In large bowl, with mixer on high, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add melted chocolate and malt; beat to combine. Add eggs and vanilla, and beat 2 minutes more. Reduce mixer speed to low and add flour, baking powder, and salt. Beat until combined.
  • 2. Refrigerate for 3 hours.
  • 3. Heat oven to 350°F. Shape tablespoons of dough into balls. Drop balls into confectioners' sugar, coating well. Place balls 1" apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until edges are slightly crisp. Let cool 1 minute on baking sheet. Transfer cookies to wire racks, and let cool completely.


Please don't let this long process intimidate you! This recipe is awsome!!!! My in-laws and family just swarm for these cookies. They are so soft and chewey. Very pretty and festive too when done. Plan to make 2 or more batches of these wonderful cookies because they'll be gone quick. Happy Holidays!

    This is very similar to a recipe I have for Chocolate Pixies. This one has the difference of the malt powder which I like very much. I didn't find these difficult at all and like the fact I can mix up the dough and bake at my convience. They are very good and believe me, it's hard to stop with just one! Thanks for a great cookie recipe, this will be one of my favorites.
