  • Cover tree with lettuce leaves using toothpicks to hold lettuce in place. Cover entire tree with lettuce leaves.
  • Place star on top - Kraft has cheese cut into star shapes that is very nice or you could glue a very small angel about 1 inch in size on top. Before you start using Elmer’s glue, let dry overnight.
  • Cut small pieces of cheese and with toothpick arrange all over tree leaving spaces in between for olives and pickles. Cut in small slices- red pimento pieces very small slices of celery filled with peanut butter. Use toothpicks to hold appetizers on tree. Also if you want, use a slice of pickle with a slice of cheese together and arrange all over tree. I sometimes use small shrimp in between pickles and olives and cheese.
  • You can use small pieces of anything you want. The red pieces of pimento and the red inside of the olives show up like Christmas ornaments and makes the tree very pretty.

Special Equipment Needed

Remember to use Kraft products. They are always the hit of every party. I have been making this for years and everything on the tree is something all people like and makes a good decoration for any table. All people like Kraft cheese. The last time I made it someone said I did not know Kraft made cheese into star shapes so if you have any left arrange around tree there will not be any left. You can arrange Ritz crackers around tree at the base. Set tree on a platter. If you wanted snow around the base surround with coconut. I use this size of cone for about 20 people. If you had a larger group, purchase a larger cone. You could also use very small pieces of meats if you wanted. Use your own ideas, but the Kraft cheese looks good and everyone will love it.
