This was my father's 2nd favorite dessert and I have kept watching for it in "food & family". Since I am 76, I have been eating for at least 72 years so it is not a new recipe. It is a lite dessert for this age when no one wants to feel overfull.
Obviously, if you use a larger box of Jell-O, increase the coffee in proportion. Making strong instant is easiest 'cause you can make the equivalent of two strong cups in one cup of boiling water and use the ice cube method for quick setting.
When serving to guests, mom made sweetened whipped cream but for family she used the top of the milk (unhomogenized in those days) and mixed sugar and vanilla.
