  • 1st rinse the dried beef under cold water to remove excess salt or let soak in cold water bath for 30 minutes if you have the time.
  • Next place dried beef, onion and bell pepper into a food processor with the chopper disk on it and swirl until they are chopped VERY fine. Add the mayo and the sour cream and let the food processor mix until combined scraping down the sides to make sure all is incorporated well.
  • Place in a sealed container for 8 hours or overnight to let flavors combine well.


This dip is so universal...Instead of the cream cheese try Kraft Cream cheese and make a little dried beef cheese log for a party...Or you can use the above to fill pastry puffs...But the standard way is the plain old ripped potato chip. Experiment and let me know your ideas on how to serve this also.
