  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Clean and de-stem whole mushrooms. Place mushrooms in baking dish top side down so empty cavities are on top.
  • Mix sour cream, cream cheese, butter, 1/2 of shredded cheese, spices and mix well. Fill the mushrooms caps with mixture and top with remaining cheese. Pour milk into baking dish until it comes up to almost mid-way of mushroom caps.
  • Bake for 15 to 20 minutes uncovered. Mushrooms will start to soften when done. With large spoon/spatula lift out mushrooms and place on serving dish/platter.


My family likes this for a snack or with a meal. Friends always ask for the recipe. It's quick and easy to fix. May substitute white cheese for cheddar. Refrigerate any leftovers. Reheat only in oven do not use microwave.
