  • 1. Peel potatoes and then cut into quarters. Place in pot (3/4 full of water) and bring to a boil.
  • 2. When potatoes reach boiling, lower heat slightly and let cook for another 15-20 minutes.
  • 3. Meanwhile in a medium sized saucepan, put in milk, cream cheese, onions, and garlic. Let cook on medium heat until cream cheese is melted.
  • 4. When potatoes are done (check by inserting a knife, if it goes in and comes out easy then potatoes should be done), drain. After, in same pot as the potatoes, add the cream cheese mix.
  • 5. Use potato masher to mash everything together.
  • 6. Chop up some of the chives and mix in. Serve in a bowl and sprinkle some chives on top!


Add in any seasonings you want for taste! (salt, pepper...etc.) One of my secret favorites...add in chili powder....just a few small pinches.
