  • Rinse and pat dry the Boston butt. Sprinkle salt and pepper over entire butt, rub in.
  • Place in crock-pot and set on HIGH. Cook on high 4 hours.
  • Remove from crock-pot and allow to cool. When cooled, remove all bones and fat. Discard ALL fat. Pull pork apart using hands or 2 forks.
  • Return pulled pork to clean crock-pot. Pour entire bottle of barbeque sauce over meat. Add onion, celery and dry mustard to meat and stir well to mix.
  • Cook on low setting for another 4 hours. Serve on hamburger buns.

Special Equipment Needed


Tip: Cook the Boston butt the day before then refrigerate it overnight. The next day remove fat & bones. Pull meat apart then return to a clean crock-pot and add all other ingredients. Cook 4 hrs. on low. Good side dishes with this are coleslaw, potato or macaroni salad and baked beans. All of this meal can be cooked ahead of time so you are relaxed and ready to enjoy your company when they arrive. No stress meal!
