  • 1. Push Popsicle sticks into candy bars from the bottom about 1/2 way up.
  • 2. Freeze candy bars until frozen solid, at least 1 day ahead of time.
  • 3. Sift together the flour, baking powder, & salt.
  • 4. In large mixing bowl, stir together the eggs & milk. Add flour mixture to egg mixture, and beat with a mixer until smooth. Should not "run off" candy bar. If too thin, beat in a bit more flour.
  • 5. In 8" skillet, heat the oil to 360-degrees, about 3" deep.
  • 6. Dip frozen candy bar into batter
  • 7. Fry in hot oil until golden brown (just a few minutes), turning 1/2 through (unless using a deep fryer).
  • 8. Remove from oil & drain on paper towels.
  • 9. Top with powdered sugar or caramel sauce if desired.


I had these for he first time at the County Fair. Kids (of all ages) will love 'em!
