  • Step One: Cut the apples into bite size pieces and put in a large bowl. Along with the apples, put in the brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.
  • Step Two: In a food processor or with a hand mixer mix the light butter, flour and sugar (granulated sugar not the brown sugar)
  • Step Three: After mixing, ball the dough up, and cut the dough into two sections. (One will be used for the bottom of the crust and then the rest to top it)
  • Step Four: Pour the apple mixture into the pie pan (can be glass) and place the remaining half of the dough on top.
  • Step Four: Poke holes in the top of the pie and sprinkle brown sugar over the top.
  • Step Five: Bake at 400 degrees F for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. (Check around 20 minutes to see if the pie is browning - ovens vary on temp.)
  • Step Six: Take the pie out of the oven and rest for 15 minutes.
  • Step Seven: ENJOY!
