  • Boil your chicken until it is falling off the bones. When it is done, remove the chicken to cool (save broth). While the chicken is cooking, cook your cornbread with the onion the way you like it.
  • When the chicken is cool enough, cut into bite sized pieces & discard skin & bones. When the bread is done, place it in a roasting pan, pour the hot chicken broth over it & mash it up with a potato masher. Add box of stuffing, can of cream of chicken soup & cut up chicken.
  • Bake at 325°F until a real good golden brown. You won't be disappointed.


I do not use extra salt to season anything, it will usually be enough salt with everything mixed together. I also cut the onion up & cook it with my bread. When the dressing is done, I also put a cloth over it so the steam escapes, but holds in the flavor.
