  • Prepare cake mix as directed on box and bake.
  • Prepare Jell-O as directed on box. After cake is done, make holes in cake with the end of a wooden spoon, about 1 inch apart, then pour Jell-O over cake making sure you fill the holes.
  • Place in refrigerator until cooled, then add whipped topping and serve.

Notes

Jell-O and whipped topping can be substituted for sugar free.

    I actually used a serving fork to make the holes. I used yellow cake, strawberry Jello, vanilla pudding as an icing, and strawberry Cool Whip. Just as a little extra, I put fresh, cut strawberries on top. It was good and I'll definitely make it again.

    can be used with yellow cake as well. and strawberry or raspberry are the best to use for jello and try strawberry flavored whip topping. kids love it!
