  • Brown ground beef and drain. Add cream of mushroom soup, diced tomatoes and green chilies (do not drain juice) and ranch style beans. Mix well. Simmer 10-15 min, stirring occasionally.
  • While ground beef mixture is simmering, preheat oven to 375 degrees F. In a 9x13 inch baking dish, cover bottom with broken tortilla chips. Pour ground beef mixture over tortilla chips. Top with more tortilla chips and shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Bake until cheese is melted, about 10 minutes.

    MODIFIED - Made this recipe with some changes. I decided NOT to use the cream of mushroom soup, otherwise I followed the recipe as described. I provided several toppings so each family member could add what suited their taste buds. Toppings included; salsa, sour cream, shredded cheese, sliced jalapeño, hot sauce. It was very good and everyone liked it. Very easy to make and it will definitely be added to my list of meals. Enjoy........

    I used Black beans instead of ranch style. also put the mixture into tortillas with cheese in stead of making the casserole. didn't want to turn on the oven since it was 105 degrees here today!
