  • In a double boiler, melt the peanut butter and chocolate chips, stirring to blend.
  • When melted and blended, add the marshmallows (may be added one cup at a time or all at once.) Stir in marshmallows until they are melted and blended into chocolate-peanut butter mixture.
  • When blended and it becomes stiff, pour into a lightly buttered (or non-stick spray) 9 inch square pan and even out. Let cool and cut into 2 inch squares.


Toward the end of melting the marshmallows in the chocolate-peanut butter blend, the mixture gets very stiff. I use a heavy wooden spoon to stir the recipe. You can experiment with this recipe by using milk chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet chips. For a different taste try adding a cup of peanut butter chips to the chocolate chips and peanut butter. For thinner squares, use a 9 x 13 inch pan--this increases the number of squares to about 24.
