  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Peel and cut potatoes into small cubes to allow quick cooking. Boil potatoes in salted water (3 teaspoons). While potatoes are cooking prepare the homestyle beef according to package directions.
  • When potatoes are fork tender, drain in colander and return to hot pot. Over low heat mash potatoes with a fork or potato masher, keeping the potatoes on the low heat would dry out excess moisture for fluffy potatoes. Add butter, heavy cream, black pepper, and remaining salt.
  • Pour the homestylye beef in a casserole dish, oval or 8x8. Spread the mashed potatoes evenly over the top of the beef, covering the entire surface. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese and bake until cheese melts and dish is heated through.

Special Equipment Needed


The smaller the cubes of potato are cut, the quicker the cooking time will be. This is a very easy and fast meal to make for your family on any night of the week. Mash potatoes and gravy what more can I say. Enjoy!!
