  • Put the pork shoulder in a deep baking dish. Make holes in the pork with a knife to insert garlic slices. Once the garlic slices have been inserted, add the white wine and the marinade. Then season the pork roast with salt, pepper, garlic. Make sure to rub in the seasonings with some of the marinade that has been poured. Cover and refrigerate. Let it sit for 30 min then turn it over and let sit for another 30 min.
  • After the pork has marinated, turn on your oven to 400 degrees. Then cover the pork with a foil and put it in the oven. Let it roast for 6 hours. Use a bulb baster to marinade pork with all the juice in the pan every two hours.
  • After 6 hours have passed lower the oven temperature to 200 degrees and uncover the Roast. Leave it there for 2 hours. Marinade with baster every 30 min so that the outside won't be too dry. After the 2 hours of uncovered roasting have passed serve and enjoy. Make sure to use some of the extra marinade in the pan to drizzle over.


To make it a meal: Appetizer- Fresh greens salad with sliced tomato, sliced red onion, and 1/4 of an avocado sliced with a drizzle of olive oil and fresh lemon juice, and a pinch of salt and pepper. (Per Plate) Dish Sides- White rice and black beans. Dessert- Fried plantains with a pinch of sugar and a drizzle of honey! Enjoy my traditional Cuban dinner!!!!
