  • Mix in large saucepan, the butter, sugar, milk and vanilla. Heat over low to medium heat until boiling. Boil the mixture for 3 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and add marshmallows. Mix until all marshmallows are completely melted. Stir in both kinds of chocolate chips and stir until mixture is smooth and creamy. Add the nuts to mixture.
  • Place in a 9x13 inch pan. Store loosely covered.

Other ingredients you could add for variation: For Rocky Road fudge: add chopped walnuts and miniature marshmallows after the chocolate chips are completely mixed in. Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge: After making the fudge (no nuts) spread it in the pan and immediately drop by spoonfuls 1 cup of creamy peanut butter on the fudge. Take a knife and cut the peanut butter throughout the fudge to leave a marbled look to the fudge. This is my family's favorite fudge for the holidays. It is so smooth and creamy. No other fudge recipe compares. You have to use butter and whole milk in order to have a quality product. When I make the first pan for the holiday season, it goes so fast. My husband just can't stop eating it. Everyone who tries it just raves about it.
