  • Preheat oven for 400 degrees F. Soften cream cheese, and dice artichokes and spinach. Mix cream cheese, onions, wine, Tabasco sauce, Worcestershire sauce, artichoke, (and diced spinach if desired); taste. Add anything else deemed worthy. Then add chopped up crab.
  • Place in glass/ceramic oven safe dish. Slice cheddar (or generic dryer cheese) into thin slices and place on top of dip.
  • Cover and cook for about 10-15 min till hot throughout (cheese should be partly melted, and then remove lid and cook until cheese crisp). Serve with favorite crackers. Can also serve with tortilla shells that have been cut into 8 and toasted until they are hard.

Special Equipment Needed

Great leftover recipe (assuming you have leftover fake crab). Can replace 2 cups crab with 1 cup crab 1 cup shrimp. fake crab will be a little sweeter than real, add more wine to cut sweetness (assuming your using a non-sweet white wine) Artichoke juice or dill pickle juice can also be used to cut the sweetness. Instead of crackers can toast a sourdough type bread in a pan with olive oil. Thinly coat sliced bread with olive oil and place on pan. Can be cooked at same time as crab
