  • 1. Preheat oven to 350°F and get a 9x13 glass pan.
  • 2. Brown and drain ground beef and the sausage.
  • 3. Add spaghetti sauce to the meat. Simmer about 5 minutes.
  • 4. Spoon a little sauce on the bottom of the pan.
  • 5. Take 3 uncooked lasagna noodles out of the box and lay across the bottom of the pan.
  • 6. Pour 1/2 of the meat mixture on top of the noodles.
  • 7. Scoop half of the cottage cheese on top of the meat.
  • 8. Put 1 cup of mozzarella and 1 cup mild cheddar cheese on top of cottage cheese (use your hand and mash down a little).
  • 9. Repeat steps 5-8.
  • 10. Add a little garlic salt on top.
  • 11. Bake 50-60 minutes.


This recipe is better if made the night before, and it also reduces the cooking time to 45-50 minutes. You can make this with just hamburger meat as well.
