  • Put chicken, onions, carrots, celery and potatoes in a large pot. Add 2 quarts of water and chicken base.
  • Cook on mid high until chicken and vegetables are tender (approx 20 minutes). Add another 1 quart of water to soup. Let heat to almost boiling. Add cream of chicken soup. Do not add additional water.
  • Prepare dumplings; in small bowl mix egg, flour, and add water slowly to mixture. Dough should be sticky. Use a teaspoon, drop 1/4-1/2 tsp. of dumpling into pot. Let cook approx. 15 minutes.

Special Equipment Needed


This is so easy, everyone will think your mother came over to make it. When dropping dumplings into water, if dough sticks to spoon, just dip it into the soup broth. The hot spoon helps dough fall off the spoon.
