  • While you are getting the water boiling for the macaroni, put the package of hot dogs in about 4 cups of water so that they are submerged, and also get to a boil.
  • Cook the Mac & Cheese as directed on the box. Make sure that the mac & cheese isn't runny. Add the shredded cheese to the macaroni and make sure it is all melted. Add the mushroom soup (do NOT add milk for the soup) and stir until evenly spread out. Add in the veggies. Stirring occasionally to blend, simmer until heated up (approx. 5-10 minutes). The soup will even out while it heats up.
  • While it's simmering, cut up the hot dogs into pieces (sizes of your choice) and add them to the macaroni mix while it's simmering. Stir everything together one final time, serve and enjoy!

Special Equipment Needed

**Since I have young children, I cut the hot dog pieces horizonally and vertically so they are little triangle chunks. It's small enough so they can't choke on them. My kids LOVE this dish! **The hot dogs can be substituted for boneless chicken or tuna or whatever meat of your choice. I actually prefer chicken because it's more filling. **Also, if you prefer frozen vegetables, cook about 2 cups (more or less depending on how much you would like). Make sure the veggies are cooked thoroughly before adding to the macaroni. The can of veggies doesn't necessarily need to be cooked first, unless you prefer to.
