The only sugar in this dessert is in the fruit and crust. I came up with this dessert when I was informed that I had to bring a dish to pass the night before our company picnic.
Since then I have made this dessert using mandarin oranges with orange Jell-O, peaches with peach Jell-O, pineapple with lemon Jell-O, and bing cherries with black cherry Jell-O (especially good because I used chocolate graham crackers for the crust. Tasted kind of like chocolate covered cherries only not as sweet.) Experiment with your favorite fruit combination. It's great for summer picnics.
