  • 1. Heat oven to 450ºF. Make pie crust as directed on box for One-Crust Baked Shell, using 9-inch glass pie pan. Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool completely, about 30 minutes.
  • 2. In 1-quart saucepan, melt chocolate over low heat; cool. In small bowl, beat butter on medium speed until fluffy. Gradually beat in sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in chocolate and vanilla.
  • 3. Add eggs 1 at a time, beating on high speed 2 minutes after each addition; beat until smooth and fluffy. Pour into pie shell. Refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving. Top with whipped cream and chocolate curls. Store in refrigerator.

    I've made this pie four times. Super simple and always turns out delicous! I'm making mini pies for my family this Christams (since my mom and sister-in-law always makes a billion cookies for the famiy, I wanted to do something different) and plan to use this recipe. Big hit at parties! :)

    This pie was absolutely amazing!! My husband and I were craving french silk pie, but didn't really want to go buy one, so we looked up a recipe. This was the only one we found. I followed the recipe to the letter (even beating 2 minutes after each egg) and the result was unbelievable!! It is a very smooth rich pie and we will definitely make it again. And it really wasn't too difficult to make. Thank you for this recipe!!
