  • 1. Take 2 garlic cloves, crush and add to 3 teaspoons of butter.
  • 2. Add prawns and sauté until cooked.
  • 3. Remove prawns and set aside and wipe pan with paper towel.
  • 4. Take a bowl filled half full of lukewarm water, and submerge the tomatoes in water, squeeze them, so that the seeds come out.
  • This will also "cut" the tomatoes open for you.
  • 5. In the pan that the prawns were in, add 2 more garlic cloves and 1 more teaspoons of butter. Sautee up.
  • 6. Add the tomatoes, mix with garlic.
  • 7. Add the tomato pesto and mix with tomatoes.
  • 8. Add the pasta sauce and mix with rest of sauce.
  • 9. Add splash of wine and mix.
  • 10. Add the chili flakes.
  • 11. Add basil and mix together
  • 12. Let sauce simmer down until the tomatoes are super soft and cooked (about 15-20 min).
  • 13. While the sauce is simmering, cook pasta and drain.
  • 14. Five min before the pasta is done, add the prawns back into sauce to warm and get covered in the sauce.
  • 15. Put sauce over pasta, add parmesan cheese if desired.


This dish goes well with a nice thick loaf of olive bread warmed up in the oven.
