  • Shred desired amount of cabbage. Fry bacon in large pot (Dutch oven), remove from pot, set aside.
  • Leaving the bacon fat in pot, add shredded cabbage, sliced onion and sliced potatoes (in order). Add a few tablespoons of water to pot and cover.
  • Cook until the cabbage is tender and potatoes are done. Crumble the cooked bacon on top and serve. Salt and pepper to taste.
