  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Season both sides of salmon with salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder. In a separate bowl, combine the ginger, bread crumbs and zests in a bowl.
  • Sear both sides of salmon in pan with olive oil. Spread bread crumb mixture on top of filets. Roast in oven until filets are medium rare and “crust” is golden brown (about 6 – 8 minutes).
  • Buttery Ginger Sauce:
  • In a mini food processor, mince together ginger, garlic and onion. Transfer to saucepan and add honey, soy sauce and brown sugar. Bring to a boil and simmer about 8 minutes until the sauce reduces by half. Remove from the heat and stir in the butter cubes and orange juice. Strain through cheesecloth or mesh strainer.
  • Steam green beans just to soften (about 3 minutes,). Add red and yellow peppers and steam one more minute to warm through. Ladle Buttery Ginger Sauce on plate, add vegetables and top with salmon. Garnish with chopped green onion.

Special Equipment Needed

This is my version of my favorite dish from a local restaurant. I serve this by itself or with steamed rice.
