  • Season the rump roast with the dry spices.
  • Add all of the ingredients to a large pot. ** Bring water to a boil, cover and reduce heat to a little less than Medium-Low heat. Let simmer on low for approx. 4 1/2 hours or until tender enough to pull apart with fork.
  • Shred beef with a fork. Let simmer in stock for about 10 more minutes.

Notes

* Any flavor stock can be substituted for the water and chicken bouillon cubes. ** Can be cooked in slow cooker instead of large pot. Serve over white rice or in tortillas with your favorite taco toppings.
