  • Wash grape leaves with water, and clip off stems. Then lay flat in a pile on a plate with the stem side facing up.
  • Place a plate upside down in a large cooking pot. Mix rice and meat in large bowl. Salt and pepper if you wish but you don't have to.
  • Roll meat up in the grape leaves. Make sure the meat is on the under side of the leaf. The part with the veins. Place meat on leaf up towards the top where the stem was. Roll once over then fold sides in then continue rolling.
  • Place in pot once done. Cut lemons in half. Squeeze lemons to put lemon juice over your rolls. Then place the lemons on top of the rolls in pot.
  • Fill pot with water up to the top of the rolls. Cook on medium heat for 45 minutes. Check to see if done by cutting one open and making sure the meat is not pink. Enjoy!
