  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees. In medium bowl sift together dry ingredients set aside. Cream together sugar and shortening until fluffy. Beat egg in separate bowl.
  • Add beaten egg and vanilla to sugar and shortening mixture. Slowly add dry ingredients to sugar and shortening mixture. Add mincemeat mix well.
  • Drop by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto greased cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes.


*Great Gramdma always used the 9oz pkg and would boil it down with about 1 cup of water, she'd let it compleatly cool down before she added to cookie mixture.*

    I have used this recipe for years. I came across the recipe on a box of the condensed mincemeat at least 30 years ago. I have recently moved and the recipe had been misplaced. Today I will make the cookies using the jar of mincemeat. Thanks you so much for having this on your site. I recommend this cookie to anyone who like/loves mincemeat. Also, my sister-in-law and I used to make our own mincemeat and it worked wonderfully.

    this recipe is awsome, I looked everywhere and finally found this one
