  • Sauté the olive oil, garlic, oregano, and onion over medium-high heat in a non-stick fry pan for 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Add the broth and let simmer for 1 minute. Add the green beans and wine. Cover and let simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes. Remove lid and simmer until the beans reach desired tendernes (see notes). Remove beans with slotted spoon.


I prefer my green beans to be a bit on the crispy side, so I simmer them at the end for about 7 minutes. I sometimes add bacon bits to the last simmer - it puts a delicious twist on an already tasty dish!
