  • Add gravy. Reduce heat to med-low.
  • Prepare potatoes as directed on package. Top mashed potatoes with gravy.

Notes

You can use real potatoes Of course, boil potatoes until soft and then mash with milk and butter. Serve with your choice of vegetable and bread. You can also add cooked mixed veggies to the hamburger gravy. This gravy can also be used with egg noodles.

    Don't be lazy make your own homeaid mashed potatoes. It is also just as easy to make your own gravy with bollion. I have made hamburger gravy homeaid style and it is way better.

    I love this recipe. My husband won't eat it -- something about being in the Navy; but I love it on cold rainy days with fresh sourdough bread with real butter on it. I remember it from 4th grade at Valleydale School. Real comfort food. Thanks for the memories.
