  • Prepare lime or blue berry Jell-O as directed; add pear slices (you may dice if so desired). Pour mixture in clear 8 x 8 dish of decorative clear dish of your choice. Chill until firm. This is your first layer.
  • Second Layer: Prepare lemon Jell-O; blend in softened cream cheese until smooth. Add whipping cream. Pour this mixture over the first layer. Return to the refrigerator to chill this layer until very firm.
  • Now it's time for the third layer! Drain pineapple very well. Prepare cherry Jell-O. Add pineapple to the Jell-O and pour over the lemon/cream cheese (white) mixture. Make sure the mixture is cool enough to not melt the 2nd layer before pouring. Place in the refrigerator and complete chilling process, I prefer overnight.
  • When dessert is ready to serve, it looks great cut in squares on a small bed of lettuce. The "blue" mixture looks nice with a few fresh strawberries and blueberries garnishing the lettuce. For Christmas, garnish with a few fresh cranberries or red/green grapes.


This recipe was one of my grandmother's Christmas specialties. She used the lime Jell-O in the 60's. When Jell-O introduced "blue" Jell-O, I began making it for the 4th of July. I usually make it on Christmas Eve night or the night before I plan to serve it. It's always a the colors make it very appealing, and it tastes great, too!
