  • In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt and spices; set aside.
  • In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars until smooth. Mix in milk, vanilla and beaten eggs. One at a time, stir in cornflakes, oats, dry ingredients, Baker's coconut, chocolate chips, and nuts, just until each addition is mixed.
  • Drop dough by well-rounded teaspoonful onto lightly greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees F in preheated oven for 10-12 minutes. Let stand 1-2 minutes before removing from cookie sheets.


IDAHO NUGGET BARS: Prepare dough as directed. Then spread evenly in greased 15" x 10" x 1" pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 to 25 minutes. Cool before cutting. Makes 35 two-inch squares. If you do not have mace, add 1/4 teaspoon more nutmeg (mace is made from nutmeg shells). I use 1 tablespoon artificial sweetener and reduce the white sugar by 1/2 cup. In lieu of cornflakes, I have also used bran flakes and raisin bran. GUARANTEE: The cookie monsters will love you.
