  • Cream sugar and Crisco. Add eggs one at a time until golden and smooth. Add baking powder and beat for a few seconds. All at once add flavorings, flour, and milk. Beat until everything sticks together and is fairly smooth.
  • Grease baking sheets and drop batter from spoon. Should be about the size of a large walnut. Bake at 375 approximately 10 minutes. DO NOT OVER BAKE. These cookies do not have to get brown to be cooked.
  • Cookies should be frosted as soon as you take them from the oven so make your favorite icing before you make the dough. After icing, sprinkle with candy decorations like non-perilis or sprinkles.
  • ICING:
  • Mix all icing ingredients together. Spread frosting on cookies then dip each cookie into your choice of candy decorations.

We call these Charlie Drymouth cookies because you need a glass of milk to go with them. Delicious! This is a wonderful receipe if you are in a hurry. It takes about one hour to bake and frost these delicious cookies. ENJOY!
