  • In a medium size saucepan, bring sugar, milk, margarine and Jell-O to a boil. Cook for 5 minutes [for softball stage] stirring constantly. Remove from the heat, add marshmallows and stir until well blended; add nuts if desired.
  • Pour into a buttered 9x9-inch pan. Cool to room temperature.
  • Wrap fudge plastic wrap, then in aluminum foil. Store in a cool dry place. Cut when ready to serve. If you want a stronger flavor you can use 4 tablespoons of Jell-O. The lemon requires 4 tablespoons of Jell-O plus a drop or two of yellow food coloring.


This is something great to do with the different colors and flavors of Jell-O and they will make a colorful presentation on any tray.
