  • Puree cabbage and cold milk in a blender until finely chopped.
  • Stir Jell-O & boiling water until completely dissolved, and then put 2 ice cubes into hot Jell-O to cool it. When ice is melted, pour into blender and puree until the color is uniform throughout the mixture.
  • Pour into a mold or bowl, stir in fruit and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

My sister-in-law developed and brought this surprise dish to our 4th of July party. Everyone loved it and couldn't guess the familiar flavor that the Jell-O contained. The familiar ingredient (cabbage) was the surprise! She doesn't have a computer and said I could send it in for her and the rest of the family agreed that this should be shared. She didn't write it down, and I'm guessing at the length of time it takes to make, but she said she uses different flavors of Jell-O and different fruits…just make sure it is served very cold for optimum flavor.
